Kopterflug was founded in Bremen in 2017 by Christian Engelke, with the aim of improving safety in industry through new inspection technology.

The right drone for your plant – inside, outside, underwater
At Kopterflug we rely on specialised drone and inspection technology to handle even complex tasks without scaffolding, rope access technicians or cranes.
- Inspections in confined spaces: the Flyability ELIOS 3 delivers detailed data from hard-to-reach enclosed spaces that personnel would otherwise have to enter.
- Inspections from the air: we use the DJI M30T for photo, zoom and thermal imaging on the outside of plants.
- Underwater inspections: our Chasing M2 Pro Max underwater drone captures high-resolution images – using sonar in murky water – even in hazardous or hard-to-reach underwater areas, without divers.

What sets Kopterflug apart from other providers?
We combine experience going back to 2017 with specialised drones for work inside, outside and underwater. You receive an inspection report from us with photos, videos, a 3D point cloud and located anomalies – your expert assessors or inspectors carry out the assessment on this basis. When was Kopterflug founded and by whom?
Since 2017 Kopterflug has set out to improve occupational safety during inspections in industry and to pioneer inspection with drones. Founded by Christian Engelke in Bremen, today we fly where scaffolding, rope access technicians and man entry used to be needed.
Inspectomatic has set out to process and present the data from the Flyability ELIOS 3 so that you can derive concrete maintenance decisions from it: located findings, photos, videos and a 3D point cloud in the inspection report, in the browser and without installation (inspectomatic.de is in German).
Kopterflug and Inspectomatic are run by the same team. The work is clearly divided: we fly – Inspectomatic analyses. You have the same contacts from the first conversation to the finished inspection report.
What technology does Kopterflug use?
We use specialised equipment: the Flyability ELIOS 3 for internal inspections, the DJI M30T for external flights and the Chasing M2 Pro Max underwater drone with sonar. This allows us to inspect even hard-to-reach and hazardous areas of your plants safely and to deliver detailed data.

Does Kopterflug offer training or consultancy?
We do not offer pilot training. If you have your own ELIOS 3, we will be happy to advise you on how to use it.
How soon can a deployment take place?
That depends on our availability and the scope of the project. We agree the date with you and your site. If special releases or permits are required, preparation takes a little longer.
